Day trip to Gozo
Gozo is the second biggest island in Malta. There is a ferry that takes you there from the harbour in Cirkewwa in the north west of Malta island. Directly in the harbour you can get on the hop on hop off bus and start your tour of Gozo. An audio guide provides lots of interesting information in many different languages. The bus stops in many places of interest where you can get off, have a look around and get on the next bus 45 minutes later.
I stopped at the Gigantija temples and windmill (No 3) and at the Azure Window in Dewjra Bay (No 9). Unfortunately there was a lot of construction work going on in and around the temples that had a negative effect on the overall impression. The Azure Window, however, is absolutely fantastic. You can even go for a swim in the little natural pond there. Luckily, the bus drivers sold iced water, thus the heat on top of the bus was bearable.
If you'd like to, come and join me on my trip around Gozo by watching the slide show below. Enjoy!
